Shillong to arrange the annual 'The Hills Festival Meghalaya' 

Shillong, the stunning capital of Meghalaya, is all prepared to host one of the most-awaited annual music, food, and cultural festivals in India, The Hills Festival Meghalaya. The festival will set the stage to host some of the most prominent musical bands from the Country and beyond. The two-day music festival can be held on 4 and 5 November 2022 amid the incredible locales of Umber village and Umami Lake in Meghalaya.

After the track, the highlight of the year would be the ‘Food Pavilion’ where regional delicacies from various parts of the state would be made available. ‘The Forage Aisle’ here can be special as it will serve indigenous forage and the local wild edibles from Meghalaya.

Keeping the well-being of the environment in mind, the organizers will also introduce several green initiatives, and all the promotional backdrops and art installations will be built using environment-friendly materials. To make sure there’s cleanliness and waste is managed, there will be arrangements for RO water stations, biodegradable provider ware, and recycled paper and bamboo.

The vision of the festival, which is organized by HYPE Meghalaya and backed by Meghalaya Tourism, is to put the festival on the tourist map of the kingdom and make it a huge attraction.

2) The food: Famous Chef TZac will be a part of local chefs for a special layout of indigenous forage and the local wild edibles from Meghalaya

3) Eco-friendly: The festival is completely eco-friendly. Environmentally-innovative materials for use on the venue, recycling and upcycling waste, RO water stations, biodegradable service ware.

4) Cycling & Camping: A unique biking tune to enjoy the beautiful locales of Umbir village and Umami Lake can also be brought in which visitors get a chance to enjoy amidst nature. Also, there will be cozy camping tents for accommodation in which humans can spend the night gazing at the sky.

5) Kids-friendly Festival: The festival will also be kids-friendly as a special PlayCare section has been set up for children's care.
