Yes, you read that right! You can recognize the beauty of the Taj Mahal in the moonlight 4 times this month! According to the official announcement, the white marble beauty might be open to admirers for nighttime viewing during 'Sharad Purnima' for 4 nights in October.

Rajkumar Patel, the superintending archaeologist, said, "As the Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday, tourists will be allowed to view the monument at night for 4 days, from Saturday to Tuesday.” As far as tickets are concerned, interested people should buy their tickets at some point prior to the nighttime viewing date from the counter at the ASI office.

This October, Sharad Purnima could be observed on the intervening night of the ninth and 10th. This lovely phenomenon is known as champion. On this day, the epitome of love glows like a diamond while the moonlight hits the white marble from diverse angles. Simply stunning!

This is one such time when tourists from across the globe crowd the monument to enjoy this splendor. In 2021, the Taj Mahal was saved open for 5 nights around the full moon every month.

 

Tickets are available One day before the date of the Night Viewing from the office of Archaeological Survey of India (A.S.I.) 22, Mall Road, Agra between 10 A.M. and 6 P.M. 

Night Viewing Ticket can be canceled in the above-mentioned office on the day of viewing up to 1 P.M. as per the cancellation rules. Night Viewing Timing: 20:30 hrs. to 00.30 hrs. in 8 batches of max. 50 people each. The time duration for each batch is half an hour (30 minutes). Tourists have to report half an hour before the viewing time mentioned on their ticket at Shilpgram for security checks. Please note everyone has to have one i.d. during the visit.

Note: Tourists are advised to contact their HelloVisit Tourists must reach Shilpgram (near the Eastern gate of the Taj Mahal) half an hour before the scheduled time mentioned on their tickets for security checks.

Taj Mahal Night Viewing Tickets are available One Day before the Night Viewing of the Taj Mahal 10.00 A.M. to 6.00 P.M.
