India to launch World's longest river cruise from Varanasi to Assam via Bangladesh to start from January 2023

As per the latest development, the world's longest luxury river cruise is all set to begin its journey in January 2023, if you want to be a distance of around 4000 km. This was recently introduced by the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal.

Known as Ganga Vilas Cruise, this cruise will connect Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to Dibrugarh in Assam, and tour through Kolkata and Dhaka.

If reports are to go by, the ship will pass thru national parks and sanctuaries, consisting of the Kaziranga National Park and Sundarbans Delta.
