As per the modern-day reports, the Simlipal National Park in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district is now open for tourists. After finally closing for around 5 months because of the monsoon, the government opened the doors of the park to the public.

Referring to this, the officers knew that the park was closed to tourists from June 16, and remained closed throughout the monsoon season, Spread over 2750 sq km, Simlipal National Park is one of the biggest tiger reserves in India and serves as the house to some of the wildlife species.

If reports are to go by, the park registered greater than 100 travelers, informed Similipal Tiger Reserve Field Director T Ashok Kumar. Apart from several flora and fauna species, Simlipal National Park is also dotted with an extensive type of vegetation and fauna, lush greenery, and breathtaking waterfalls, the field director added, which makes for an exciting trip.

Situated in Mayurbhanj, the park once was once a hunting floor for the rulers of the province, that's now one of India's biggest wildlife sanctuaries. Featuring dense forests, cascading waterfalls, and putting meadows, its miles are blessed with amazing biodiversity. Home to around ninety-six species of orchids, Baripada is the nearest city to Simlipal which also makes for a fast getaway.
