Bir is a little town in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Bir Billing is a destination situated in Joginder Nagar valley famous for paragliding. It is also the town for meditation. There is an impact on Tibetan culture here because of the Tibetan settlement in this town. Bir is also called one of the finest places in the globe for paragliding. The take-off site is known as Billing. The landing site is Bir and the overall elevation is around 800m. There are some cafes that serve luscious food. People can also go for little hikes, and see the monasteries.

Bir-Billing is considered one of the top three paragliding Places in the world. Also known as the Paragliding capital of India, Bir Billing attracts adventure-seekers from throughout the world for Its Adventure activities. Bir also hosts the Paragliding pre-world cup during the month of October.
The exciting and thrilling activity of paragliding is set amidst lush green meadows. The starting point is at Billing (2400 m) and landing takes place in the fields at Western Edge of Tibetan Colony in Chowgan, Bir (14 km south).

Chokling Monastery or Pema Ewan Chogar Gyurme Ling Monastery is among the principal attractions of Bir. It has a grand and colossal stupa apart from an exotic statue of Padmasambhava. This monastery is situated in the Bir Tibetan colony.It was set up in the 1960s, after the conquest of Tibet by the People’s Republic of China. It was built under the command of Neten Chokling Pema Gyurme.
The monastery has a passageway, a temple, and a prayer hall. A wonderful statue of Padmasambhava or Guru Rinpoche, who was a Buddhist master of the 8th Century, from the Indian subcontinent, is placed in the middle of the temple and the pathway is adorned with sculptures.

Gunehar Waterfalls is the prime attraction of the Gunehar village, tucked away on a hillock around 1.5 km away from Bir in Himachal Pradesh.
